Abbey Road is celebrating 50 years of Wish You Were Here with this exclusive limited-edition collection of tees, totes, hoodies and posters made in partnership with Pink Floyd.

Between 13 January and 28 July 1975, Wish You Were Here was recorded by David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Richard Wright and Nick Mason in Studio Three with engineer Brian Humphries and assistants John Leckie and Peter James. A conceptual piece about longing, alienation and absence, often described as a tribute to departed Floyd member Syd Barrett. The legendary recording sessions produced many memorable moments which have gone down in Abbey Road history. Like when guitarist David Gilmour decided to set up his amps in the middle of our largest space, Studio One, to achieve that reverberant guitar sound on Shine on You Crazy Diamond.

Inspired by the timeless songs on the album, this exclusive collection’s design draws on the surreal imagery and chromatic language from the original record. The new artwork features icons that represent the key contributors in the making of Wish You Were Here, presented alongside the tracklist, song times and reimagined textures from Hipgnosis’ classic cover art and packaging.

Each piece reflects the atmosphere of those sessions, moments of experimentation, collaboration and creative vision that produced one of the most beloved albums of all time.
